Acids & pH Adjusters
Overview
Acids and pH adjusters may sound a little more scientific than some of our other ingredients, but their purpose is quite simple: they help us keep a formula at the right level of acidity or alkalinity. This matters because pH can affect how a product feels, how well it performs, how gentle it is on the skin, and how effectively its preservation system works.
At Lovebee, we use these ingredients in very small, carefully measured amounts when a formula needs them. They are not added to make a product feel harsh or intensely exfoliating. In many cases, their role is simply to fine-tune and balance the finished product so that it remains comfortable, stable, and effective.
As with every ingredient we use, we choose pH adjusters that align with our natural formulation standards and include only what is necessary. They may not be the most glamorous ingredients in the glossary, but they often play an important behind-the-scenes role.
