Overview

Thickeners and gums help give a product its texture, body, and consistency. They can turn a thin liquid into a smooth gel, help keep ingredients evenly dispersed, or give a lotion, cleanser, or serum the right amount of slip and structure.

At Lovebee, we use natural plant gums and starch-based thickeners. The type and amount depend on the formula, as even a small adjustment can change how a product pours, spreads, lathers, or feels on the skin.

These ingredients may not be the most noticeable part of a formula, but they make a meaningful difference to how the finished product performs. We use them carefully to create textures that feel pleasant, remain consistent, and support the product as a whole.
