Overview

Waxes are naturally firm ingredients that help give balms, salves, lip products, and solid formulations their shape and structure. They can also create a light protective layer on the skin, helping to reduce moisture loss while giving a product a smooth, comfortable glide.

At Lovebee, we use waxes such as beeswax and plant-based waxes for the specific qualities they bring to a formula. Some create a softer, creamier texture, while others add firmness, improve stability, or help a product hold up better in warmer temperatures.

The type and amount of wax can make a big difference to how a finished product applies and feels. We carefully balance waxes with oils and butters so each formula is protective and long-lasting without feeling overly heavy or stiff.
