Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil
INCI Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Bark Oil
Overview
A warm, spicy essential oil distilled from cinnamon bark.
What it is
Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil is distilled from the bark of the cinnamon tree, carrying a warm, spicy aroma more intense than the leaf oil from the same tree.
Where it comes from and how it’s made
Cinnamon trees are grown widely across South and Southeast Asia, particularly Sri Lanka. The bark is steam-distilled to draw out its essential oil.
What it does in a formulation
Contributes a warm, spicy note to a finished product’s scent profile.
Why Lovebee uses it
Cinnamon bark brings a real intensity and warmth to a blend — we use it carefully and in small amounts, letting a little of its character go a long way in cozy, spice-forward scents.
Good to know
- Used throughout our blended topical products; sold on its own as a single-note oil, it’s intended for diffuser use only.
- One of the more potent, spice-forward oils in our diffuser lineup.
Common questions
- What does Cinnamon Bark Essential Oil smell like?
Warm and distinctly spicy, more intense than cinnamon leaf oil from the same tree.
- Is Cinnamon Bark the same as Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil?
No — they come from different parts of the same tree and have different intensities, with bark oil being the stronger of the two.
- Can I apply this essential oil directly to my skin?
Not as a standalone oil — on its own, it’s intended for diffuser use only. You’ll already find it safely blended into a number of our topical products, though.
