Geranium Essential Oil
INCI Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil
Overview
A bright, rosy-green essential oil distilled from geranium leaves and stems.
What it is
Geranium Essential Oil is distilled from Pelargonium graveolens, a fragrant relative of the garden geranium. It carries a bright, rosy scent with a green, herbaceous edge.
Where it comes from and how it’s made
Pelargonium graveolens is grown widely, with significant production in Egypt and Réunion. The leaves and stems are steam-distilled to draw out the essential oil.
What it does in a formulation
Contributes a bright, rosy-green note to a finished product’s scent profile.
Why Lovebee uses it
Geranium gives us that lovely rosy quality without the cost or intensity of true rose oil — it’s a bright, versatile note we like working into floral-leaning blends.
Good to know
- Used throughout our blended topical products; sold on its own as a single-note oil, it’s intended for diffuser use only.

They’re closely related, both coming from Pelargonium species with a similarly rosy character.
