What it is
Rose Geranium Hydrosol is the water collected when rose geranium is steam-distilled. It carries a gentle version of the plant’s bright, rosy character.
Where it comes from and how it’s made
Pelargonium graveolens is grown widely, with significant production in Egypt and Réunion. The water that condenses during distillation is collected separately as the hydrosol.
What it does in a formulation
As a light, fragrant water, Rose Geranium Hydrosol is used in place of some or all of the water in a formula, bringing a soft, rosy-green note into the finished product.
